<br />WHEREAS, the City Civil Engineer has prepared and filed in the office of this Board a report showing the number and
<br />location of the service pipes, mains, :conduits; laterals, and connections which are, or will be necessary to xccorr.rrcc'ate the
<br />abutting property and the owners thereof with gas, water, sewer, and ether conveniences and nec<ss=ries: and also
<br />said City Givil Engineer has prepared and filed in said office specifications showing the matey al to .be used and
<br />the maner of laying said service pipes mains, conduits, laterals and connections from the mains to the points in-
<br />side the curb lines.

<br />THEREFORE, ' be it resolved by the Board of Public Wcrkes of the Ci;y of South Bend, Indiana, that
<br />a the report of the City Civil Engineer is adcpt.cd, and sa'd report and the specif;crticr.s prepared and f.1,d by
<br />him_re made, a part of this resolution as fully and effectually as if copied herein at full length; and it is fur-
<br />ther ordered that all of such privat connections with the sewer, gas, and water mains be made in said street
<br />by -_bringing them inside the curb lines thereof.

<br />fications and report on file in the office of the Bor•rd of the Public Wcrks, the n said Board will cause the seme

<br />other things pertaining thereto according to the provisions and 'rearirncnis cf Ordinance No. iM adopted j
<br />by the Common Council of the City of South Perd on Jray 24, 1916, and cf ell cthc r ordinances and law
<br />relating thereto.
<br />And, be it further resolved and ordered that after the 20 day period has elepsed for the making cf said
<br />connection by the property owners, a notice shall be published for two weeks, once each week, in the

<br />bids from contractors for the making of such connections as have rot been macse by the property owners,

<br />And be it further ordered that the Northern Indiana Gas and Electric Ccrrpary, which holds a fran.
<br />hchise from, and is en»w!ral by said city to furaish artificial gas to the citizens thereof, and is engaged in
<br />said bmineas is sail city, i3 h:ra'ay directed, to mike . and install all service connections -with its mains in said
<br />Street in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance Ne. 1555 adopted June 27 1910 and such ether ordi-
<br />nances or laws applicable thereto; which ccnnectiers ere :hewn lrcn the r(rcit of Ile City Civil Engineer,
<br />and which are hereby declared to be necessary in supplying gas to the owner of property abutting upon said
<br />street.
