<br />In the above matter no remenst,raters appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the
<br />benefits to property liable to be assessed for said, improvement are equal to the, estimate
<br />cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action
<br />on -said resolution as Originally adopted and the same is hereby In all things, ratified,
<br />,c onf fir ed _ and approved.
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 14th. day of
<br />May 1923 ad on the 21st. day of May 1923. In the 93ty South Bond News Times and Tribune
<br />..in said City, pl*ting that this Board will received bids For .the construet►ion of said
<br />improvement up to-10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 29th.0 1923. The Board reserves the right to
<br />re joct any and all bids.
<br />Hearing, had on resolution for pavement on Tonti Avenue from Lafayette
<br />Blvd., to Iroquois Street,,under Improvement Resolution No. 1164. IA the City of. South
<br />Bend, Indiana.
<br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and.no written remen-
<br />atrance was filed. The Board being fully advised in the premisea., decides that the
<br />benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal tothe
<br />esti�atod cost'of the same,' -as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon
<br />takes final aetion an said reselution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in
<br />all things, .ratified, confirmed and approved. _

<br />Excavation bond of Ernest T. Tsanborg and Axel E. Anderson
<br />and Southern Surety Company was approved by the Board.
<br />Contractors- bond for the sum of $1,Q00,00 sig3wd by Ira .Y..Beoht�el
<br />as principal and Lo*ls ,Q. Ray as surety was approved by' the Beard. `,'his bond for only
<br />one job to be released later.

<br />is ahso in need.of a Colosuom, now therefore, be it Resolved thit, we members of the
<br />Board of Public Safety, go on record as recenumdiag and requesting the -Board of Public
<br />Works of said City, to investigate the offer afrahe B*$*rrGB2oral Co., and the Acme
<br />Mfg. Company, heretof attached and if they rind it.advisable and a good offer, to purchase
<br />one of these traets for the uses and purpk%se above mentioned.'
