Zoning and Annexation Committee <br />April 2, 2(}07 <br />Page 2 <br />At this point in the meeting Council Member Kirisits joined the Committee meeting. He <br />apologized for being late, noting that he had a plumbing emergency at his <br />home. He then chaired the rest of the Committee meeting. <br />Mr. Fozo noted by example that he did not believe it was the intent of the Council to <br />have establishments like CiCi's Pizza Place to be considered a controlled <br />use. <br />Section VII & Section VIII: Addresses the consistency of terms used in the Chapter. <br />Section IX: Addresses fencing and would address the consistency of terms used. <br />Section X: Addresses Light Industrial Districts Hated that the language which has been <br />cross-thru would be permitted once the ordinance is passed. <br />Section XI & Section XII: Address Light Industrial and General Industrial respectively <br />and would add amusement center and amusement park to each section. <br />Section XIII. Section XIV & Section XV: Address signs and would remove OB so that <br />integrated centers would not be permitted. <br />Section XVI: Addresses the 1,000 foot restriction language <br />Section XVII: Would update definitions <br />Section XVIII: Would amend by requiring a minimum side yard of 5' instead of 10' <br />Section XIX: Would amend CommerciallMixed Use Districts and CB Community <br />Business District minimum side yard requirements. <br />Mr. Fozo noted that examples would be the Erskine developments. <br />In response to a question from Council Member Puzzello, Mr. Fazo stated that PUD are <br />being recommended for town houses. <br />Mr. Magliozzi provided atwo-page handout and reviewed the chart addressing Special <br />Regulations for Controller Uses {copy attached}. stated that he would like <br />to file the draft ordinance with the Clerk by Wednesday which would result <br />in the Council having 1St reading on the Bill on Monday, April 9th. <br />In response to questions from Council Member Kirsits, it was noted that many of the <br />proposed amendments were the result of dealing with the current <br />ordinance and many resulted from dealing with developers. <br />
