REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22, 1981 <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Redevelopment has submitted to the <br />Board of Public Works offers to acquire the properties as <br />authorized by Indiana Law for public purposes for the fair <br />market values established by the Redevelopment Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. Byers, Clerk <br />Mrs. Ann Kolata, Assistant Director of the Redevelopment Department, <br />advised that the fair market values of the properties were arrived at <br />by taking an average of two appraisals on each property. She stated <br />that two independent appraisers are utilized by the department for <br />that purpose. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the resolution was adopted and the sale of the 21 city- <br />owned lots to Redevelopment was approved, subject to concurrence by <br />the Common Council. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS - BUREAU OF HOUSING AND <br />DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />The following contracts with the Community Development Department <br />were submitted for Board approval: <br />Bureau of Housing - For housing rehabilitation grants <br />for single - family residential <br />structures. Budget: Not to <br />exceed $200,000.00 <br />For housing rehabilitation rebates <br />in neighborhood strategy areas. <br />Budget: Not to exceed $325,000.00 <br />
