REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />JUNE 8, 1981 <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting recommended approval of the <br />following traffic control device in view of increased traffic flows: <br />Removal of Yield Sign and revision to Stop Sign <br />at 27th and Colfax <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above traffic control device was approved. <br />BEQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (1919 SOUTH CATALPA) <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that a request had been received from Mr. <br />Edward Jerzak, Jr., 1914 Kemble Street, inquiring into the possible <br />purchase of a city -owned lot located at 1919 South Catalpa. He <br />advised that the property was a vacant Homestead lot being offered <br />for sale by the Bureau of Housing. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was <br />referred to the various city agencies for a determination as to <br />whether or not the lots need be retained by the city for any reason. <br />APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS <br />A request from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was received <br />for permission to have city environmental crews clean the following <br />lots within the city: <br />East Brook <br />Lot N. of 202 N. Birdsell <br />1132 E. Donald <br />Empty lot N. of 419 N. Eddy <br />2420 W. Ewing <br />528 S. Fellows <br />2726 Frederickson <br />2730 Frederickson <br />2113 S. Gertrude <br />2121 Gertrude <br />It was noted that property owners had <br />lots and had failed to comply. Upon <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />Lot S. of 2001 N. Huey <br />235 E. Indiana <br />Lot W. of 1310 W. Jefferson <br />Lot S. of 132 S. Sheridan <br />Lot cor. Rose & Sheridan <br />Lot 1706 N. Sherman <br />1617 S. Williams <br />710 -712 W. LaSalle <br />Lots W. of 1114 W. Washington <br />been advised to clean up the <br />a motion made by Mr. Kernan, <br />request was approved. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND - JOSEPH PLAIA <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended approval of the Contractor's Bond <br />of Joseph Plaia, d /b /a Plaia Construction, 1001 Lombardy Drive, <br />retroactive to June 2, 1981. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Contractor's Bond was approved <br />retroactive to June 2, 1981. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND - JOHN ZANKA. JR. <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended the release of the Contractor's Bond <br />of John Zanka, Jr., as requested. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above Contractor's <br />Bond was released. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 25 outages during the period of May <br />26 through June 3, 1981. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. <br />1 <br />
