Mr. Leszczynski stated that, because the city has been experiencing
problems with street light outages, the Engineering Department had
toured the city during the last week in an effort to document the
number of lights out and their locations. He advised that a total
of 255 lights at various locations within the city had been turned
in to his office by the Engineering staff. He stated that I & M
does not charge the city for the lights that are reported to it
to not be in working order. He encouraged the citizens to report
to the Board any street lights that are not working in order to
insure that the city will not be charged for a malfunctioning light.
He stated that the above outages which were checked by his department
will be re- checked in about two weeks to determine if they are in
working order. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
Mr. Hill and carried, the street light outage report was filed and
referred to I & M for appropriate action.
