REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 29. 1980 that the march be approved subject to use of the public sidewalk by all participants and, further, that the marchers obey all pedestrian traffic laws. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE MARCH OF RIVER PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION & NUNER PTA Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted his recommendation concerning the parade request of the River Park Neighborhood Association and the John Nuner PTA for a march to be held on Janauary 14, 1981, at 6:00 p.m., proceeding on Mishawaka Avenue from 30th Street to Twyckenham Drive. Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the march be approved subject to use of the public sidewalk by all participants and, further, that the marchers obey all pedestrian traffic laws. Mr. McMahon expressed concern for the closing of Mishawaka Avenue should the participants be allowed to use the street. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the parade request was approved subject to use of the public sidewalk as recommended by Mr. Wadzinski. COUNTER - OFFERS FOR PURCHASE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES The following counter - offers for purchase of city -owned properties were received: Robert Hennesey Counter -offer of $10.00 for 209 E. Dayton 216 East Dayton (Offering price: $368.00) Robert Hennesey Counter -offer of $10.00 for 1813 S. Carroll 216 East Dayton (Offering price: $203.00) Mary G. Scharr Counter -offer of $250.00 for 1819 S. Kendall 1819 S. Kendall (Offering price: $373.50) Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above counter - offers were referred to the Controller's Office for review and recommendation. REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (1118 McCARTNEY STREET) A request was received from Mr. Donald Karmolinski, 1106 McCartney Street, inquiring into the possible purchase of a city -owned lot located at 1118 McCartney Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded, by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request was referred to the various city agencies for review and recommendation. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONTRACTS Ms. Marzy Bauer, Director of the Department of Community Development, submitted for Board approval the following contracts for work under the Community Development Program: Neighborhood Housing Services $200,000.00 Community Coordinated Child Care 50,000.00 ACTION, Inc. 50,000.00 It was noted that the contracts fund routine program activities through Community Development. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above contracts were approved. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS The following handicapped parking permits were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried: 1 1 L
