REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 29. 1980 <br />that the march be approved subject to use of the public sidewalk <br />by all participants and, further, that the marchers obey all <br />pedestrian traffic laws. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVE MARCH OF RIVER PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION & NUNER PTA <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, submitted his recommendation concerning the parade <br />request of the River Park Neighborhood Association and the John <br />Nuner PTA for a march to be held on Janauary 14, 1981, at 6:00 p.m., <br />proceeding on Mishawaka Avenue from 30th Street to Twyckenham Drive. <br />Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the march be approved subject to <br />use of the public sidewalk by all participants and, further, that <br />the marchers obey all pedestrian traffic laws. Mr. McMahon <br />expressed concern for the closing of Mishawaka Avenue should the <br />participants be allowed to use the street. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the parade <br />request was approved subject to use of the public sidewalk as <br />recommended by Mr. Wadzinski. <br />COUNTER - OFFERS FOR PURCHASE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES <br />The following counter - offers for purchase of city -owned properties <br />were received: <br />Robert <br />Hennesey <br />Counter -offer of <br />$10.00 for 209 E. Carroll <br />216 East Dayton <br />(Offering price: <br />$203.00) <br />Mary G. <br />Scharr <br />Counter -offer of <br />$250.00 for 1819 S. Kendall <br />1819 S. <br />Kendall <br />(Offering price: <br />$373.50) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the above counter - offers were referred to the Controller's <br />Office for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (1118 McCARTNEY STREET) <br />A request was received from Mr. Donald Karmolinski, 1106 McCartney <br />Street, inquiring into the possible purchase of a city -owned lot <br />located at 1118 McCartney Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded, by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request was <br />referred to the various city agencies for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONTRACTS <br />Ms. Marzy Bauer, Director of the Department of Community Development, <br />submitted for Board approval the following contracts for work under <br />the Community Development Program: <br />Neighborhood Housing Services $200,000.00 <br />Community Coordinated Child Care 50,000.00 <br />ACTION, Inc. 50,000.00 <br />It was noted that the contracts fund routine program activities <br />through Community Development. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above contracts were approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />The following handicapped parking permits were approved and referred <br />to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance upon a motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried: <br />1 <br />1 <br />L <br />
