REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 29, 1980 <br />South Bend Baling & Iron Co. A -1 Auto Parts <br />1420 South Walnut (Kowalski Bros. Auto Parts) <br />2014 South Lafayette <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall be subject to <br />approval and ratification by the Common Council. <br />Approved: <br />December 29, 1980 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Patrick M. McMahon, Pres. <br />sJ Joseph E. Kernan <br />Attest: <br />s/ Barbara J. Byers, Clerk <br />Mr. McMahon noted that Mr. Albert Mickelson, owner of the scrap <br />and junk yard at 1147 Prairie Avenue, had been previously cited <br />by the Environmental Protection Office for an accumulation of <br />debris on the premises. He stated that this was the reason why <br />the property at 1147 Prairie Avenue was not included in the resolu- <br />tion of those yards approved by the Board for issuance of 1981 licenses. <br />APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO CONSULTING SERVICES CONTRACT <br />(RAYMOND S. ANDRYSIAK) <br />Mr. David A. Wells, Manager of the Bureau of Design and Administration, <br />requested approval of the renewal of the city's contract with Raymond <br />S. Andrysiak for consulting services for the year 1981 at the rate <br />of $12.50 per hour not to exceed $1,241.66 in any given month. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, amendment to the services contract was approved. <br />FILING OF REPORTS AND ADOPTION OF VACATION RESOLUTION <br />NO. 3503, 1980 (BEACON HEIGHTS) <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3503. 1980 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />The interior streets within the Beacon <br />Heights Apartment Complex, more commonly <br />known as Curtiss Drive and Putnam Place. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain <br />any facilities, including, but not limtited to the following: <br />electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control <br />structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless <br />such rights are released by the individual Utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Beacon Heights (South Bend. Defense Housing) <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 2nd & 9th <br />day of Janaury, 1981, in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri- <br />County News. <br />This Board, at its office, on the 19th day of January, 1981, at <br />9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from <br />all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. <br />1 <br />1 <br />is <br />
