Shultz, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order, and a certified check in <br />the amount of $10,408.52 was <br />submitted. <br />Group <br />I - <br />$1.92 <br />ea. <br />Group <br />II - <br />4.79 <br />ea. <br />Group <br />III - <br />1.18 <br />ea. <br />Group <br />IV - <br />.96 <br />ea. <br />Group <br />V - <br />6.70 <br />ea. <br />Total <br />Two -Year <br />Cost: <br />$104,085.28 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the above bids were referred to the Controller's Office for review <br />and recommendation. Deputy City Attorney Terry Crone advised that <br />the bid of Ziker Cleaning and Laundry, 251 East Sample Street, <br />South Bend, was incomplete in that the proper bid security had <br />not been submitted, the non - collusion affidavit had not been signed <br />and the bid itself was not signed in the proper place. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />bid of Ziker Cleaning and Laundry was rejected. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - TOWING AND STORAGE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the towing and storage <br />of abandoned vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were <br />.found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />Steve & Gene's Auto /Truck Salvage and Repairs <br />3109 South Gertrude <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Storage of abandoned vehicles: $750.00 per month <br />Raymond R. Bradford <br />1518 Catalpa Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Towing of abandoned vehicles: $ 40.00 per month <br />Mr. McMahon noted that the specifications called for separate bids, <br />one for the towing of abandoned vehicles and one for the storage <br />of the vehicles towed. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above bids were referred to the <br />Controller's Office, Legal Department and Neighborhood Code Enforce- <br />ment Office for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3500, 1980 <br />(JACKSON STREET) <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Assessment Roll <br />with respect to Vacation Resolution No. 3500, 1980, for the vacation <br />of Jackson Street from Prairie Avenue north to the first east -west <br />alley north of Prairie Avenue. The Clerk tendered proofs of publi- <br />cation of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The Assessment Roll lists <br />$0.00 net benefits and $0.00 net damages to abutting properties. <br />No remonstrators were present and no written remonstrances were <br />-filed with the Board. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Kernan and carried, the Assessment Roll was approved and <br />said resolution is in all things ratified and confirmed and said <br />proceedings closed. <br />1 <br />u <br />
