REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 1. 1980 <br />APPROVE RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING - 1000 and 1100 <br />BLOCKS ESTHER STREET <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light- <br />ing, recommended approval of a restricted residential parking zone, <br />7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the 1000 and 1100 <br />blocks of Esther Street, in response to the non - resident parking <br />problem which has resulted because of the establishment of the <br />restricted parking zones on surrounding streets. Mr. John <br />Leszczynski, City Engineer, advised that the 1000 and 1100 blocks <br />of Esther Street had been included in the original petition for the <br />restricted residential parking but had been found to not meet the <br />criteria of the ordinance at that time. He explained that, since <br />the implementation of the restricted zones on surrounding streets <br />in the vicinity, the 1000 and 1100 blocks were experiencing the <br />non - residential parking problem. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the restricted residential <br />parking zone was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following handicapped parking permits for 1981 were approved <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: <br />Joseph W. Skwiercz Ruth Winther <br />5.20 Pulaski 53666 Elmhurst Street <br />South Bend, Indiana South Bend, Indiana <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 5 outages between the period of <br />November 12, 1980, through November 24, 1980. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report <br />was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 22185 through No. 22375 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />report was filed and the claims approved. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. McMahon and carried, <br />the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br />w <br />c and L.
