REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 6, 1980 APPROVAL OF RESIDENTIAL PARKING DESIGNATION 702 -708 N. LAFAYETTE Mr. Ralph. J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported that a request for restricted residential parking for two residences located at 702 and 708 North Lafayette Boulevard were previously submitted. Based on the study conducted by the bureau, Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the two privately -owned residences be granted a restricted residential parking zone from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as is installed on the west side of the 600 block of North Lafayette. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved and the designation of restricted residential parking for the above two residences was approved. SIGNING OF TITLE SHEETS Mr. McMahon advised that the Area Plan Commission had previously approved the plans for Portage Place Shopping Plaza and that the Engineering Department had also reviewed same. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the title sheet was approved and signed. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the title sheet for the drive improvements for Fire Station No. 11 was approved and signed. Mr. McMahon noted that the monies for this constrution had previously been approved by the Common Council. APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS (DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS - FIRE STATION NO. 11 Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, requested permission to advertise to receive bids for the drive improvements at Fire�Station No. 11. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request was approved and the Board set the date of October 20, 1980, as the date to receive bids on the above project. APPROVAL OF HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved: Paul F. Williams, Jr., 65615 State Road 23, North Liberty Dolores Rey Latkowski, 3021 Prast Boulevard, South Bend Bertha Nespo, 209 North Pagin, South Bend G. Russell Tolmen, 213 East Ada Street, South Bend Eleanor Harris, 628 Western Avenue, South Bend It was noted that a doctor's certificate was attached to each of the above applications. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT The report indicated a total of 23 outages from the period of August 28, 1980, through October 1, 1980. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket No. 18529 through No. 18949 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed and the claims approved.
