REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 6, 1980 <br />APPROVAL OF RESIDENTIAL PARKING DESIGNATION 702 -708 N. LAFAYETTE <br />Mr. Ralph. J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported that a request for restricted residential parking for two <br />residences located at 702 and 708 North Lafayette Boulevard were <br />previously submitted. Based on the study conducted by the bureau, <br />Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the two privately -owned residences <br />be granted a restricted residential parking zone from 8:00 a.m. <br />to 5:00 p.m., as is installed on the west side of the 600 block <br />of North Lafayette. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved and the <br />designation of restricted residential parking for the above two <br />residences was approved. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEETS <br />Mr. McMahon advised that the Area Plan Commission had previously <br />approved the plans for Portage Place Shopping Plaza and that the <br />Engineering Department had also reviewed same. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the title <br />sheet was approved and signed. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the title sheet for the drive improvements for Fire <br />Station No. 11 was approved and signed. Mr. McMahon noted that <br />the monies for this constrution had previously been approved by <br />the Common Council. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS (DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS - FIRE STATION NO. 11 <br />Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, <br />requested permission to advertise to receive bids for the drive <br />improvements at Fire�Station No. 11. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request was <br />approved and the Board set the date of October 20, 1980, as the <br />date to receive bids on the above project. <br />APPROVAL OF HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following handicapped parking permits were approved: <br />Paul F. Williams, Jr., 65615 State Road 23, North Liberty <br />Dolores Rey Latkowski, 3021 Prast Boulevard, South Bend <br />Bertha Nespo, 209 North Pagin, South Bend <br />G. Russell Tolmen, 213 East Ada Street, South Bend <br />Eleanor Harris, 628 Western Avenue, South Bend <br />It was noted that a doctor's certificate was attached to each of <br />the above applications. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 23 outages from the period of <br />August 28, 1980, through October 1, 1980. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket <br />No. 18529 through No. 18949 and recommended approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />report was filed and the claims approved. <br />
