<br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (1629 S. WILLIAM)
<br />A request to purchase city -owned property located at 1629 South
<br />William Street was received from Mr. Robert L. Daniel, P. 0.
<br />Box 1954, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan,
<br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was referred to the
<br />various city agencies for a determination as to whether or not
<br />the city should retain the lot for any reason.
<br />APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT MODIFICATIONS
<br />Approval was requested from Mr. Elroy Kelzenberg, Director of the
<br />Bureau of Employment and Training, for Modification No. 2 to the
<br />initial agreement with the Northern Indiana State Hospital/
<br />Development Disabilities which provided for the incorporation of
<br />a summer training plan for participants and stipulated a training
<br />allowance payment system for participants involved in the training
<br />program. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, Modification No. 2 to the initial agreement was
<br />approved.
<br />A request for approval of Modification No. 3 to the agreement with
<br />the Indiana Employment Security Division was submitted, which
<br />modification augmented the program budget for testing and counseling
<br />in the amount of $29,190.50. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan,
<br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the modification was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF EXCAVATION BOND - DUJARDIN OIL COMPANY
<br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak reviewed and recommended approval of the
<br />Excavation Bond of Dujardin Oil Company, effective July 7, 1980.
<br />Upon a motion made-by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried,
<br />the bond was approved effective July 7, 1980.
<br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND - JACK N. COLEMAN
<br />A request for release of the Contractor's Bond of Jack N. Coleman
<br />was received. Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak reviewed the request and recom-
<br />mended release of the bond, effective July 7, 1980. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the
<br />Contractor's Bond of Jack N. Coleman was released, effective July
<br />7, 1980.
<br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - JOHNSON BROTHERS SOUTH
<br />WHITELEY NEON SIGN COMPANY, INC.
<br />The Certificate of Insurance for Johnson Brothers South Whiteley
<br />Neon Sign Company was filed upon a motion made by 11r. Kernan,
<br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried.
<br />APPROVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS
<br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for
<br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following
<br />lots within the city:
