REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 16, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m., on Monday, June 16, 1980, by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Joseph <br />E. Kernan present. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was <br />also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the minutes of the regular meeting of June 10, 1980, were approved <br />as submitted. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Mr. McMahon stated that the following items would be added to the <br />agenda and considered by the Board immediately after the opening <br />of bids and the scheduled public hearings: Presentation of Cubs <br />tickets to Spring Clean -Up winning team, report concerning closing <br />of Olive Street Pumping Station. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SAMPLE STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Project R & S 53, <br />Improvement and Widening of Sample Street from Chapin Street to <br />Olive Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the bids were referred to the Engineering Department <br />for review and recommendation. <br />
