Come down to Jon Hunt Plaza in front of the Morris Perform- ing Arts Center on Fridays in June, July and August. You will find local Blues, Jazz, Rock, Latin and Country bands. This outdoor mini lunch hour concert is sponsored by the Morris, better yet, all of the concerts are FREE!!! Music begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. This year's dates are: ♦ June 13 & 27 ♦ July 11& 25 ♦ August 8 & 22 Forgot your lunch? No problem, downtown restaurants including the Morris Bistro, offer a variety of lunch- time favorites. Then again, if you'd rather brown bag it, you can do that as well. Touchdown Tues- days also features extended hours from 10 :00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. South Bend residents must have proof of residency for free admittance. Blood, Sweat, and Tears The History of Black College Football is currently on exhibit at the College Football Hall of Fame until the end of August. Walk through a historic locker room filled with memorabilia helmets representing all 50 HBCU schools, black marching bands, black college All- American teams and black college national champions. The high- light of this exhibit is a special display honoring the late Eddie Robinson, head coach at Grambling University. This special exhibition also includes an interactive component. United Way's CAN and Prescription Drug Discount Program United Way has introduced two new flee 4pr--, programs to help the people in the com- munity receive the assistance they need: the Community Access Network (CAN) and the Prescription Drug Discount Program. The CAN program connects a wide variety of agencies in St. Joseph County to a secure network that allows the various agencies to access the same information. This means that if a person goes into one agency and fills out paperwork, then goes to another agency, their information would already be in the computer. This saves time and money for both the Agency and person receiving help. CAN helps people to develop and reach their long term goals. By accessing the website CANsucceed.org, people receive assistance finding jobs, paying utility bills, housing & healthcare, and getting back on their feet. The prescription drug discount program provides drug coverage for people with- out prescription drug insurance, helping them to save money on their prescriptions.
