That's because the storm drains on the streets
and in parking lots lead directly to the river. Do your part to
keep our river beautiful for a long time to come.
♦ Take unused hazardous products to a hazardous waste
disposal center. (Located at 1105 E. 4th Street in Misha-
waka)
♦ Clean up after your dog and cat; fecal bacteria can pol-
lute our waterways and puts people (especially children)
at risk.
♦ Take your car to a tunnel car wash instead of washing it
on your driveway or in the street.
Fix oil leaks right away or use drip pans to prevent the
oil from reaching our streams or wetlands. Storm water
runoff containing just one pint of oil can make a slick
larger than a football field.
♦ Recycle used oil, antifreeze and other motor products.
♦ Choose less -toxic products to use in your home and gar-
den.
Visit Our Website at www SoutliBendIN.gov!
