Airport Economic Development Area <br /> <br />(4) continued… <br /> <br />is being waived, and more than offsets the <br />cost of any late charges that may be assessed <br />under the new lease. <br /> <br />C <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King seconded by Mr. <br />OMMISSION APPROVED THE VAN LEASE FOR <br />BGC <br />LACKTHORN OLF LUB SUBJECT TO FINAL <br />Downes and unanimously carried, the <br /> <br />LEGAL REVEIW <br />Commission approved the van lease for <br />Blackthorn Golf Club subject to final legal <br />review. <br /> <br /> <br />(5) Consultant’s update on Ignition Park. <br /> <br />C’IP <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Commission <br />ONSULTANTS UPDATE ON GNITION ARK <br />requested an update on Ignition Park. Ms. <br />Hathaway gave that report. <br /> <br />Ms. Hathaway commended the Commission <br />on understanding the timeliness of creating a <br />position with a focus on Ignition Park. It is <br />not premature. She thanked the Commission <br />for allowing her to be at the center of the <br />most exciting thing happening in South Bend <br />in the forty years she has lived here. She said <br />the community has growing excitement about <br />the possibility Ignition Park presents. <br /> <br />Ms. Hathaway broke her presentation down <br />into three parts: where we are, where we <br />need to be and how we might get there. She <br />said the how we might get there is an <br />evolving statement. <br /> <br />Where we are. <br /> Who would have thought six <br />years ago that Notre Dame and the city could <br />collaborate to the depth that would entice the <br />semiconductor industry to create the fourth <br /> 10 <br /> <br />
