<br />V.Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br /> <br />August 23, 2010 as mailed. The motion was seconded by Dr. Kelly and approved. <br /> <br /> <br />VI.Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> <br />A motion was made by Dr. Kelly to approve maintenance vouchers for August 2010 <br />totaling $1,088,957.73 <br />It was seconded by Mr. Mullins. There being no further discussion, the motion was passed. <br /> <br /> <br />VII.Business of Director St. Clair <br /> <br />1. Director St. Clair reported that he has been spending time in negotiation with the <br />Teamster’s Union working on the 2011 contract and wrapping up the 2011 budget. He <br />hoped to finish the negotiations soon. <br />2. He will be meeting with the Zoological Society next week to discuss changes to the <br />existing memorandum of understanding. <br /> <br /> <br />VIII.Comments by the Golf Operations Director <br /> <br />1. Mr. TJ Mannen, Elbel Golf Professional and course manager reported that a program <br />for restructuring the bunkers has been completed. Golf course architects are being sought <br />for their input. <br />2. Top dressing at Erskine has been done and Elbel will be done today and tomorrow. <br />3. The roof beams at the Elbel pro shop have been replaced. <br />4. Outings in August and September were the Superintendent’s Outing with 40 teams, <br />Grezgorek for Sheriff outing with 37 teams, and three Men’s club events with 40 teams <br />each. <br />5. The website has been used to send email blasts and specials. A Facebook site has been <br />running. <br />6. The Holy Cross College is now using Elbel as its host golf course for the men’s and <br />women’s teams and Mr. Mannen is an assistant coach. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.Comments by the Zoo Director <br /> 1. Director DeRosa reported that the amur leopard cubs will be let into their outdoor <br />exhibit tomorrow. <br /> 2. The red panda triplets will be released into their exhibit in two weeks. <br /> 3. Zoo Boo will be held October 22-24. Preparations are underway. <br /> <br /> <br />X.Comments by the Maintenance Superintendent <br /> <br /> 1. Mr. Dyszkiewicz related that mowing is ongoing, but winding down. <br /> 2. The trades crews are at the Elbel Clubhouse finishing their repairs. <br /> 3.
