376 <br />REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 29, 1979 <br />TYPEWRITER MAINTENANCE CONTRACT APPROVED <br />A contract with Remco Office Machines for typewriter maintenance <br />from February 1, 1979 through January 31, 1980 was submitted <br />to the Board. The contract is in the amount of $6,442.25 and <br />is in accordance with the bid accepted by the Board. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the contract was approved. <br />STREET LIGHT INSTALLATIONS APPROVED <br />Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, submitted to the Board the following recommendation <br />for installation of street lights: <br />1200 N. St. Joseph 7000L MV OH WP $4.80 /mo. <br />1500 S. Chapin (2 lights) 7000E MV'OH WP 9.60 /mo. <br />900 N. Evergreen 7000E`MV OH WP­ 4.80 /mo. <br />On Kinyon between Kinyon & Portage 7000L MV OH WP 4.80 /mo. <br />On Anderson between Kinyon & Bulla 7000L MV OH WP 4.80 /mo. <br />On Anderson between Bulla & King (3) 7000L MV OH WP 14.80 /mo. <br />On Bulla between Anderson & Portage 7000L MV OH WP 4.80 /mo. <br />Total increase - $48.00 /mo. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the installations were approved. <br />TEMPORARY FOUR -WAY STOP AT ANGELA AND NORTH SHORE APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />reported to the Board that a temporary four -way stop was installed <br />at Angela and North Shore on October 6, 1978. Studies are being <br />completed at this time and information on the ninety -day period <br />is, being reviewed. Mr. Wadzinski requested that the temporary <br />installation be extended for an additional ninety -day period. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the extension was approved. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED <br />Robert Ungurait submitted a request for a Handicapped Parking <br />Permit for 1979. Mr. Ungurait's disability is permanent and <br />his doctor's statement is on file with the Board. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance of the permit. <br />FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3466 <br />Patrick M. McMahon, P. E., Civil City Engineer, files an <br />Assessment Roll with respect to Vacation Resolution No.. 3466) for <br />the vacation of a portion of Vine Street from the west right: -of -way <br />line of 20th Street running west a distance of 147.50 feet; and <br />the north -south alley west of 20th Street, from the south right- <br />of-way line of Vine Street south to the north right -of -way line <br />of the first east -west alley south of Vine Street, a distance <br />of 264 feet; and the first east -west alley south of Vine Street <br />and west of 20th Street running west from the west right -of -way <br />line of 20th Street to the west right -of -way line of the north - <br />south alley west of 20th Street. <br />
