346 <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 18, 1978 <br />BID FOR HOME LOCKS FOR THE ELDERLY ACCEPTED <br />Police Chief Michael Borkowski reported to the Board that the <br />only bid received for Horne Locks from the Seifer Safe and Lock <br />Company had been reviewed and he recommended acceptance of the <br />bid for Falcon D9370S double cylinder deadlocks at $16.00 each, <br />with an installation charge of $7.00 each. Division Chief Glenn <br />Terry was present and asked the Board to authorize `release of <br />the certified check submitted by the company with the bid. <br />Mr. McMahon advised that the check could be released upon the <br />signing of a,contract and /or the filing of a Performance Bond <br />if one was required. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved and <br />the bid awarded. <br />FILING OF A14ENDED VACATION PETITION - AIR PRODUCTS & CHEMICALS <br />Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., by its attorney Bruce BonDurant, <br />files an amended petition for an alley vacation. The amended <br />petition is for the vacation of the east -west alley between Lots <br />48 and 49 running east from Lafayette Street between Sample Street <br />and Garst Street, continuing on between Lots 30 and 31 east to <br />Main Street. Mr. McMahon reported that the Division of Engineering <br />requested that the petitioner amend the original petition to <br />include the entire alley thus eliminating creation of a dead -end <br />alley.
