REGULAR MEETING <br />33 <br />DECEMBER 11, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 1978 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Mr. Mullen reported that the minutes of the December 4 meeting <br />had been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be <br />approved. Mr. McMahon seconded the motion and it carried. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Mr. McMahon noted receipt of a letter from the March of Dimes <br />after the posting of the meeting agenda. He made a motion that <br />the letter be added to the agenda at this time. Mr. Brunner <br />seconded the motion and it carried. <br />CHANGE OF DATE IN MARCH OF DIMES WALKATHON APPROVED' <br />The March of Dimes submitted a written request to change the date <br />of their scheduled Walkathon.from April 14, 1979 to April 21, 1979. <br />The proposed route was also submitted. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the date change was <br />approved and the route was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Detail for review and <br />recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - RENTAL OF,UNIFORMS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the rental of uniforms <br />for various. Bureaus of the City. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were <br />opened and publicly read: <br />Monarch Industrial Towel & Uniform Co.
