ltl 7 283 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 16, 1978 HOLIDAY PARADE APPROVED Michele M. Dobski, Director of River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board a favorable recommendation on the request of the Downtown Council to hold the annual Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 18. The route as submitted was approved by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department, subject to coordination with officials of Transpo for re- routing of buses during the parade. The parade is to begin at 9:00 a.m. and disperse at 10:30. The parade route will require the blocking of Taylor, William, Lafayette and Main, from Washington to Wayne; Jefferson Street, from Taylor to Service Court #5; and Service Court #k5. The Showmobile will be parked on Jefferson Street, across from Broadcast Center, to be used as a reviewing stand. Use of the city -owned lot at the southeast corner of Michigan and Washington, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. was also requested. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to coordination of all arrangements by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted to the Board the following requests for approval of traffic control devices: A. On Stanfield, between Angela and Howard install 25 MPH Speed Limit signs. B. On Leeper Avenue, between Angela and North Shore, install 30 MPH Speed Limit signs. C. Revise Yield Sign to Stop Sign on Brookmede at Woodmont, because of poor site distance. D. Install No Parking Zone across from 1306 S. High. This is a narrow street and the No Parking Zone is needed because of truck traffic. E. Install Stop Sign on Danbury at Gotham, a previously uncontrolled "T" Intersection. F. Install Stop Sign on Fremont at Rogers, a previously uncontrolled "T" intersection. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendations were approved. BOND APPROVED - RWNi CONSTRUCTION Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that a Contractor's Bond for RWM Construction Company was properly executed and could be approved by the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bond was approved. CLAIMS APPROVED Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 19927 through 20362 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 19927 through 20362 and directed that checks for payment be issued.
