REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 16, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 1978 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon and Mr. Brunner present and Mr. Mullen <br />absent. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also in <br />attendance. <br />REVIEW OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Mr. Brunner reported that the minutes of the October 9 meeting had <br />been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved as <br />submitted. Mr. McMahon seconded the motion and it carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - WERWINSKI STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Project CD 78 -3, Curb, <br />Sidewalk and Street Improvements on Werwinski Street, from College <br />to Brookfield. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Rieth Riley Construction Company <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - $17,271.00 <br />Ziolkowski Construction Company <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - $11,777.00 <br />Bid was signed by Richard <br />Ruhlman, non - collusion <br />affidavit was in order and a <br />5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Ben Ziolkowski, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />McIntyre and Jones Bid was signed by Kenneth A.McIntyre, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - $17,843.75 <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the bids were referred to the Bureau of Public Construction for <br />review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - POLICE RADIO EQUIPMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for radio equipment for the <br />Police Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were <br />found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />R.C.A.
