The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County. <br />News which were found to be sufficient. The Gruber Super Market <br />is petitioning for the vacation. F. Gerard Feeney, Attorney for <br />the petitioner, was present and advised the Board that Gruber's <br />has purchased the lot adjacent to the alley and has petitioned the <br />Area Plan Commission and the Common Council to rezone the property. <br />Since parking was removed from Prairie Avenue, there is no parking <br />available in front of the store. Customers have to park and cross <br />Prairie Avenue and trucks making deliveries cannot park. The alley <br />is overgrown with weeds and has not been used. The petition would <br />pave the alley and provide parking area for the market. The zoning <br />petition has been approved and a plot plan provided to the Area Plan <br />Commission. Mr. Feeney requested that the Board act favorably on <br />the petition to vacate. There were no remonstrators present and <br />no written remonstrances were filed with the Board. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board confirmed <br />Vacation Resolution No. 3463 and directed that an Assessment Roll <br />showing net benefits and damages to abutting property be prepared. <br />PROPOSALS RECEIVED FOR PIGEON CONTROL ON RIVER BEND PLAZA <br />The Board had requested written proposals for pigeon control on <br />River Bend Plaza and at Pier Park.
