273 <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 9, 1978 <br />DOCUMENT FILED RE: 1715 PORTAGE AVENUE <br />OPEN AIR STAND APPROVED AT OLIVE AND SAMPLE <br />The following document was submitted to the Board by LaVerne <br />Przygocki: <br />"With regard to our application for a license for an <br />open air stand to be located on the southeast corner <br />of Olive and Sample Streets in South Bend, Indiana, the <br />undersigned hereby make the following acknowledgements: <br />1. That the premises located at 1715 Portage Avenue <br />has in the past been used for floral distribution <br />purposes contrary to the zoning Ordinance of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />2. That to remedy this zoning violation, we agree <br />that our floral distribution and any other related <br />commercial activities will be conducted from another <br />premises properly zoned according to the ordinances <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />3. That the undersigned have made arrangements to use <br />the premises located at 1809 Lincolnway West, <br />Mishawaka, Indiana, or, alternatively, the "Mr. Fresh" <br />building located at the corner of Portage and <br />McCartney, South Bend, Indiana for our commercial <br />purposes. <br />s/ LaVerne Przygocki <br />s/ William E. Moore <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried the document was filed. The Board had under advisement <br />the application of Mr. Moore and Mrs. Przygocki to operate an <br />Open Air Stand at the corner of Olive and Sample. They have <br />a lease with Conrail for use of railroad property at that location. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Application was approved, subject to securing the <br />necessary license and to placement of the stand as directed by <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT APPROVED - MUSEUM CARPETING <br />Richard Welch, Director of Discovery Hall, submitted to the Board <br />the Project Completion Affidavit for the installation of carpeting <br />in Discovery Hall Museum. The Contractor was Interior Finishes, <br />Inc. and the total amount of the contract was $17,005.00. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />Project Completion Affidavit was approved. <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 APPROVED - BENDIX DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS <br />John E. Leszczynski, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, <br />submitted to the Board Change Order No. 1 in the Bendix Drive <br />Improvements, R & S 7805. The Change Order is in the amount <br />of $3,440.00 and is for the complete asphalt overlay of the right -of- <br />way. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the change order was approved. <br />
