REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER.1 "1,. "1978 that both contractor's should be commended for the work done. He said he would like to express the appreciation of the Engineering Department and the Board for their attention -to getting this work completed in that period of time for these two projects. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted the following recommendations for traffic control: A. Installation of Stop Signs on Western at Frances at the northeast and southwest corners, an uncontrolled intersection. B. Installation of Stop Signs on Carroll at Sherwood, an uncontrolled "T" intersection. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommendations were approved. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED A Certificate of Insurance was submitted to the Board on behalf of Edward J. White, Inc. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the certificate was ordered filed. CLAIMS APPROVED Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 17359 through 17732 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 17359 through 17732 and directed that checks for payment be issued. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period August 30 through. September 7 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated sixty -five outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m. In the absence of Patricia DeClercq, Clerk of the Board of Public Works, I, Maryrose Putz, am assuming all responsibility for the Board of Public Works meeting of September 11, 1978.
