r4TdjN REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 21, 1978 REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED LOT AT 1024 W. OAK Harry Martin, Jr, requested information regarding the possible purchase of a city -owned lot at 1024 W. Oak Street. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Engineering, Parks, Redevelopment, Community Development and the Mayor's Office for review and a determination as to whether or not the lot should be retained for any purpose. APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF 314 E. OHIO A purchase agreement for the sale of a city -owned lot at 314 E. Ohio Street was prepared by Deputy City Attorney Terry Crone and submitted to the New Hope Baptist Church. The agreement provides for sale of the lot for a price of $429.00. The agreement has now been approved by the purchaser and is submitted to the Board for approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the purchase agreement was approved and the Board directed that a deed be prepared. SOUTH BEND HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS APPROVED Applications for Handicapped Parkinq Permits were submitted to the Board by Robert Ungurait and Theodore Reiter. Both applicants submitted certification from their physicians. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the applicatons were approved and forwarded to the City Controller's Office for issuance of permits. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Michael L. Vance, Deputy City Controller, submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 15827 through 16276 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried., the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 15827 through 16276 and directed that checks for payment be issued. BONDS RELEASED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that requests to release the following bonds had been reviewed: Kenneth Story, Bond No. 757702 00190126; Jack Deafenba:ugh, Bond No. 1755792; and D -Mark Construction Company, Bond No. 1755861. r'tr. Andrysiak reported there are no outstanding permits against any of the bonds and he recommended release. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bonds were released. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period August 12 through 16 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated sixty outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. RIVER BEND PLAZA APPLICATIONS APPROVED Mikki Dobski, Director of River Bend Plaza submitted to the Board an application of the YWCA for display booths on the Robertson's stage on September 8, 9 and 10 for a publicity drive. She recommended the application favorably. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried the application was approved. The White Elephant Shop requested permission to pass out flyers to publicize their grand opening on August 23 through 25. Upon motion made by .Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was approved.
