REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 7, 1978 2 1 5 OPEN AIR STAND APPROVED - AUGUST 12 William Michalski submitted an application to operate an Open Air Stand on Saturday, August 12 in the St. Adalbert's Church Parking Lot. The stand is for the purpose of selling produce and other food items. Written permission of the church for the location of the stand on their property is to be sent to the Board. Upon motion made by-Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the application subject to receipt of written permission of the property owner and to securing the necessary City license. BONDS RELEASED Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau'of'Hngineering, reported to the Board that he had reviewed requests to release the bond of Ira C. Mast and of Stephen Suth. He found no outstanding permits against either contractor and recommended release of the bonds. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the bond of Ira C. Mast was released effective September 23, 1978 and the bond of Stephen,Suth was released, effective August 7, 1978. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS, J Michael L. Vance submitted ;te the. Board Claim Docket Numbers 14696 through 15198 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 14696 through 15198 and directed that checks for payment be issued. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage report for the period 7/28 through 7/31 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated thirty -eight outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. BLOCK PARTY REQUEST RECEIVED - 200 BLOCK E. NAVARRE Jean C. Wenman submitted a request to block the 200 block East Navarre Street from the alley to Riverside Drive on August 19 from 4:00 p.m. to midnight for a Block Party. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department for review and recommendation. BID AWARDED - TIRE REPAIRS Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, reported to the Board that he had reviewed the only bid received for Tire Repairs for City Vehicles through June 30, 1979 from the Singer General Tire Company. He recommended acceptance of the bid as submitted. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bid of the Singer General Tire Company was accepted. BID AWARDED - CAR WASHES Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, reported to the Board that only one responsive bid was received for Car Washes for City vehicles. The bid was from Comet Car Wash. A bid from Hi -Speed Auto Wash was received after the advertised time for bid opening and the Legal Department has indicated that bid cannot be considered.
