OR <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 31, 1978 <br />B. Quilting Demonstration on September 14, 15 and 16 in the <br />Baer's Block, South Bend Sewing Center. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />application was approved. <br />C. Rent -A -Teen - Booth for sale of ice cream in the Robertson's <br />Block, July 31 through August 5. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application <br />was approved. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - NORTH AMERICAN SIGNS <br />A Certificate of Insurance for North American Signs, Inc. was submitted <br />to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the certificate was ordered filed. <br />BOND RELEASED - DOUGLAS DECKARD <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that he had reviewed the request for release of the Contractor's <br />Bond for Douglas Deckard d /b /a Deckard Concrete Contractor and <br />finds no outstanding permits. He, therefore, recommended release <br />of the bond. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. <br />Mullen and carried, the bond was released effective September 17, 1978. <br />APPROVAL OF BOND FOR JAMES KIRK <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board <br />that an Excavating Bond for James C. Kirk had been submitted in <br />proper form and executed by the contractor and the Surety Company <br />and he recommended it for approval. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the bond was <br />approved. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period July 19 through 25 was <br />submitted to the Board. The report indicated forty -one outages. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />REQUEST FOR CANOPY RECEIVED <br />The Board received a request from City Awning Company to install <br />a canopy in front of Cinnabar's at 109 Woodward Court. The <br />canopy will encroach over the public sidewalk. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request <br />was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the <br />Building Department for review and recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m. <br />1 <br />
