'! l' <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 27, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, Plarch 27, 1978 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Mr. McMahon advised the Board that a request from the Bureau <br />of Employment and Training to advertise for bids for one vehicle <br />was - -- received after the posting of the meeting agenda. He made a <br />motion that the item be added to the agenda. Mr. Brunner seconded <br />the motion and it carried. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Mr. Brunner reported that the minutes of the March 20, 1978 meeting <br />had been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved <br />as submitted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - STREET MATERIALS <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for Street Materials for <br />1978. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the <br />South Bend Tribune and in the Tri- County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />Rose Fuel & Materials, Inc. <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid was signed by Paul M. Lehner, <br />Jr., non - collusion affidavit was <br />in order and a certified check <br />was submitted with the bid. <br />Bid - 3,000 Bags Portland Cement - $3.25 per bag <br />Total - $9,759.00 <br />Westville Oil & Mfg. Co. Bid was signed by.Andrew Carson, <br />Westville, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - '175,000 Gallons Road Oil - $0.22 per gallon - $38,500.00 <br />Medusa Aggregates Company Bid was signed by Glenn Remaly, <br />Lafayette, Indiana non- collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 10% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid - 5,000 T C.
