Hadley, <br />non- collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 10% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid - Three 4TSU Poweray Asphalt Boxes <br />Per Unit - $8,400.00 - Net $25,200.00 <br />Mr. McMahon made a motion to refer the bids to the Street Depart- <br />ment for review and recommendation. He then amended his motion <br />to recommend the acceptance of the low bid of Reid Holcomb, Inc. <br />of $21,990 for three asphalt storage units. Mr. Brunner asked <br />the reason for the award today and Mr. McMahon said it was to <br />expedite delivery of the units to the Street Department. Mr. <br />Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - UNIFORMS AND UNIFORM EQUIPMENT, POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for uniforms and uniform <br />equipment for the Police Department for 1978, in a maximum amount <br />of $8,000.00. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were <br />found to be sufficient.
