Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 3307 to 3535 and directed <br />that checks for payment be issued. <br />REPORT OF CLEAN -UP CREW FILED <br />The report of the Environmental Clean -Up Crew for January was <br />submitted to the Board by Joseph Gawrysiak, Director of the Division <br />of Transportation, and Ed Nowak, Foreman. The report indicated <br />two properties cleaned at the direction of the Board with thirteen <br />loads hauled to the dump; twenty -seven loads on Christmas tree <br />pick -up; hauling snow - thirty -seven loads; with the balance of <br />the time spent on snow control, cleaning of crosswalks in the. <br />downtown area and plowing of city -owned parking lots and the <br />Century Center lot. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. Mr. Mullen <br />requested a report on the progress of collection of charges for <br />the cleaning of properties. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage report for the period February 23 to March <br />1 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated fourteen <br />outages. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - GATESWAY LEASING COMPANY <br />A Certificate of Insurance on behalf of Gatesway Leasing Company <br />was submitted to the Board. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the certificate was filed. <br />LETTER DIRECTED TO HIGHWAY COMMISSION RE: CHUCKHOLES ON STATE ROUTES <br />The Board discussed the large number of chuckholes on State Routes <br />in the City and on the approaches to the City. Mr. Brunner noted <br />that the routes are in deplorable condition and he suggested that <br />a letter be sent from the Board to the Indiana State Highway Commission, <br />with a copy to Governor Bowen, requesting that immediate attention <br />be given to the patching of chuckholes on State Routes. The <br />Engineering Department is to inspect the routes today and request <br />that those in the worst condition be given priority by the State. <br />The letter is to indicate that the City should be notified <br />immediately if the State cannot take action at once to repair the <br />State Routes. <br />
