REGULAR MEETING MARCH 6. 1977 The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lot No. 37, Henrick & Grant's Northwest Addition Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 10th and 17th day of March, 1978 in the South Bend Tribune and in the Tri- County News. This Board, at its office, on the 27th day of March, 1978, at 9:30 o'clock, A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. Mullen ATTEST: s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk REPORT ON ALLEY BETWEEN CITY PARKING LOT AND JEFFERSON BLVD. The Board requested an inspection of the alley between the City Parking Lot at 117 S. Lafayette and Jefferson Blvd., following a complaint received from Councilman Mary Christine Adams. John DeLee, Building Commissioner, provided the Board with a copy of a "Cease and Desist" order, dated February 27, 1978, sent to Centurion Fire and Safety Equipment Company, 315 W. Jefferson Blvd. The notice advised the Company that they must not allow any substance to flow from their building into. the public alley, creating a public nuisance. The "Cease and Desist" order must be complied with by March 8, 1978. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the letter was filed and the Board requested a follow -up inspection and written report from Mr. DeLee for the meeting of March 13. REQUEST FOR REPAIRS TO 1820 S. MICHIGAN STREET RECEIVED The Board received a letter from Marzy Bauer, Director of ACTION, Inc., lessee of Old Fire Station Eight, 1820 S. Michigan, outlining the deficiencies of the structure. Ms. Bauer noted a number of repairs must be made. Rental of the building is an in -kind contribution from the City of South Bend. Ms. Bauer requested that the Board make the necessary repairs to the building or enter into a contract to have the work done. She suggested that revenue sharing funds might be used. Mr. McMahon made a motion that the letter be filed and referred to Peter H. Mullen, City Controller, for review and recommendation and that John DeLee, Building Commissioner, have the building inspected and make a report to the Board. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. NOTICE OF RESOLUTION OF INDIANA STATE HIGHT67AY COMMISSION RE:- INTERSECTION OF WESTERN AVENUE AND LOMBARDY DRIVE A Resolution of the Indiana State Highway Commission, approved on February 16, 1978, was submitted to the Board. The Resolution provides that, in the event of flashing of signals, this signal shall flash red to all approaches. All traffic on all approaches shall stop before entering the intersection. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the resolution was filed, with a copy to be sent to Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager Df the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting.
