McDaniel Company <br />Change Order No. 7 - Add $ 172,68 - Miscellaneous modifications to <br />sprinkler system to meet <br />Field Conditions <br />Contract No. 043 - Electrical - Koontz- Wagner Electric Co., Inc. <br />Change Order No. 10 - Add $ 474.00 - Alarm gongs for dry sprinkler <br />system <br />Change Order No. 11 - Add 168.00 - Change to lock -out switches <br />in toilet areas <br />Change Order No. 12 - Add 6,204.33 - Miscellaneous modifications to <br />meet Field Conditions, also <br />$4,245.48 for kitchen rough -in <br />(estimate was $4,000 - 100% by <br />Hotel -Motel Board) <br />Mr. ?'McMahon summarized the changes, indicating that the total <br />increase is $46,192.13. Of that amount, $2,830.38 will be paid <br />by the Art Center, $36,807 by the Hotel -Motel Tax Board, leaving <br />the City's share at $6,554, a portion of which will be paid by <br />E.D.A. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the change orders were approved. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUEST APPROVED <br />Mary Kay Huszar, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board <br />the application of the Michiana Arts and Science Council to locate <br />their Ticket Trolley on River Bend Plaza from 11 :00 a.m, to 2:00 p.m. <br />on various dates during 1978 to sell tickets for various cdmmunity <br />events. Ms. Huszar recommended the application favorably. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />application was approved. <br />MARCH OF DIMES WALKATHON APPROVED <br />A preliminary request from the March.of Dimes to conduct a Walkathon <br />on Saturday, April 15, 1978 was filed with the Board aq..d referred <br />to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting- .for :review.- - Ralp7h- J. <br />Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported <br />to the Board that he had reviewed the route with Captain Sweitzer <br />of the Police Department Traffic Detail and Donald Germann, Civil <br />Defense Director, and they concur that.approval can to given. <br />Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the group contact Captain Sweitzer <br />and Mr. Germann one month in advance of the event to make the <br />necessary traffic control arrangements....:,The Board pointed out that <br />complaints have been received in the past following such events <br />about litter left by participants._ They directed that the group <br />be advised to stress to all participants. that.,litteririg -cannot be <br />allowed and that complaints received by the Board following any <br />future Walkathons will result in a review of the policy to grant <br />approval for such events. <br />
