12 REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 16. 1978 Contract No. 039 - H.V.A.C. - Slutsky -Peltz Plumbing & Heating Change Order NO. 11 - Add $15,167.00 - Kitchen duct work - estimated at $16,301. 100% by Hotel - Motel Board. Contract No. 041 - Plumbing - E. J. White Company, Inc. Change Order NO. 7 - Add - $17,499.00 - Kitchen rough -in estimated at $19,000. 100% by Hotel- Motel Board. Contract No. 042 - Sprinklers - D. E. McDaniel Company Change Order No. 7 - Add $ 172,68 - Miscellaneous modifications to sprinkler system to meet Field Conditions Contract No. 043 - Electrical - Koontz- Wagner Electric Co., Inc. Change Order No. 10 - Add $ 474.00 - Alarm gongs for dry sprinkler system Change Order No. 11 - Add 168.00 - Change to lock -out switches in toilet areas Change Order No. 12 - Add 6,204.33 - Miscellaneous modifications to meet Field Conditions, also $4,245.48 for kitchen rough -in (estimate was $4,000 - 100% by Hotel -Motel Board) Mr. ?'McMahon summarized the changes, indicating that the total increase is $46,192.13. Of that amount, $2,830.38 will be paid by the Art Center, $36,807 by the Hotel -Motel Tax Board, leaving the City's share at $6,554, a portion of which will be paid by E.D.A. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the change orders were approved. RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUEST APPROVED Mary Kay Huszar, Director, River Bend Plaza, submitted to the Board the application of the Michiana Arts and Science Council to locate their Ticket Trolley on River Bend Plaza from 11 :00 a.m, to 2:00 p.m. on various dates during 1978 to sell tickets for various cdmmunity events. Ms. Huszar recommended the application favorably. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was approved. MARCH OF DIMES WALKATHON APPROVED A preliminary request from the March.of Dimes to conduct a Walkathon on Saturday, April 15, 1978 was filed with the Board aq..d referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting- .for :review.- - Ralp7h- J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported to the Board that he had reviewed the route with Captain Sweitzer of the Police Department Traffic Detail and Donald Germann, Civil Defense Director, and they concur that.approval can to given. Mr. Wadzinski recommended that the group contact Captain Sweitzer and Mr. Germann one month in advance of the event to make the necessary traffic control arrangements....:,The Board pointed out that complaints have been received in the past following such events about litter left by participants._ They directed that the group be advised to stress to all participants. that.,litteririg -cannot be allowed and that complaints received by the Board following any future Walkathons will result in a review of the policy to grant approval for such events.
