<br />REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES (1817 BENTON
<br />COURT AND 215 EAST CALVERT)
<br />A request to purchase city -owned property at 1817 Benton Court
<br />was received from Mr. Robert Hennessey, 216 East Dayton. A
<br />similar request to purchase property at 215 East Calvert from
<br />Mrs. Allean Franklin Mcneil, 217 East Calvert, was also received.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and
<br />carried, the requests were referred to the various city agencies
<br />for review and recommendation.
<br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT BIKE- A -THON - AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION
<br />A request from the American Diabetes Association to conduct a
<br />Bike -A -Thou on October 5, 1980, (rain date of October 12, 1980)
<br />was received. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr.
<br />Kernan and carried, the date was reserved on the calendar and
<br />the request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting
<br />and the Traffic Division of the Police Department for review
<br />and recommendation. The Clerk was instructed to request a
<br />proposed route from the petitioning party as soon as possible,
<br />but not less than three months in advance of the bike -a -thon.
<br />APPROVE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP OF LOTS
<br />A request from the Environmental /Action Center was received for
<br />permission to have city environmental crews clean the following
<br />lots within the city:

<br />the lots and had failed to comply. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon,
