• <br />411 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />APRIL 21, 1980 <br />A recommendation was received from Mr. Joseph Pluta, Assistant <br />Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, concerning the <br />removal of a taxi stand sign at 214 West Wayne Street, formerly <br />occupied by the Courtesy Cab Company which moved to 500 South <br />Michigan Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the removal of the traffic control <br />device was approved. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION <br />The Board received an application for handicapped parking permits <br />from the Hamilton Grove Retirement Home for their two vans. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the request was referred to the Legal Department for a determination <br />as to whether or not institutions can be granted permits for <br />handicapped parking under the ordinance. <br />APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT AND MODIFICATIONS <br />Approval was requested from the Bureau of Employment and Training <br />for the following modifications to agreements and the initial <br />agreement with the YMCA as follows: <br />Michiana Area Construction Industry Advancement Fund <br />Modification No. 1 provides an administrative budget of $226 <br />for costs associated with contract administrative, and <br />augments participant wages.and fringe benefits by $4,590 <br />to provide funding for the current participant through <br />August 19, 1980. All other parts of the initial <br />agreement remained unchanged. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the modification was approved. <br />Indiana Employment Security Division <br />Modification No. 1 adds a subpart to the program narrative <br />covering TJTC activities for the combined South Bend - <br />St. Joseph County CETA Programs, including program <br />budget for one and one - fourth CETA Specialist VI. All <br />other portions of the initial agreement remained <br />unchanged. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the modification was approved. <br />American Red Cross <br />Modification No. 1 provides an administrative budget of <br />$420 for costs associated with contract administration; <br />deletes the safety service program clerk position; and <br />augments the fringe benefit percentages, resulting in <br />a net funding decrease of $3,298. All other parts of <br />the initial agreement remained unchanged. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the modification was approved. <br />YWCA <br />Modification No. 1 included the SYEP budget and <br />program plan. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the modificaton was approved. <br />
