Airport Economic Development Area <br /> <br />(5) continued… <br /> <br />CA <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />OMMISSION APPROVED THE DMINISTRATIVE <br />$205,000 <br />SETTLEMENT OF FOR ACQUISITION OF <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />755S.MS. <br /> ICHIGAN T <br />Commission approved the Administrative <br />settlement of $205,000 for acquisition of 755 <br />S. Michigan St. <br /> <br /> <br />(6) Proposal for architectural services related <br />to relocation of Hell’s Angels. <br /> <br />Mr. Relos noted that on August 6, 2010, the <br />Commission approved an Administrative <br />Settlement to acquire 807 W. Indiana. As it <br />was understood at the time, this settlement <br />was adequate for relocation of Hell’s Angels, <br />which is being acquired for the southern <br />expansion of Ignition Park. <br /> <br />While going through the process of securing <br />a special exception before relocating, the <br />club was required by the city to install an 800 <br />square foot hard surface, off-street parking <br />lot, in addition to planting arborvitae as a <br />buffer along the alley. On October 1, the <br />Commission approved a $3,500 payment to <br />cover those costs. <br /> <br />It has now come to light that because the <br />club’s move into this building triggers a <br />“change in use”, it must be brought up to city <br />standards. What is needed to allow the club <br />to move forward with its relocation, <br />according to the Building Department, is to <br />have an architect do a floor plan, to scale, <br />that can be submitted down state for <br />approval. This floor plan needs to show the <br />current building layout with any city required <br />changes. Not until the state approves the <br /> 13 <br /> <br />
