REGULAR MEETING APPROVAL OF HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS JANUARY 7, 1980 Mr. McMahon indicated that approval of the Board was requested for, issuance of three handicapped parking permits as follows: Georgia Zehender 607 Coronation Gardens South Bend, Indiana 46617 Sheila Ann Mullen 4322 Hickory Road, Apt. 2 -D Mishawaka, Indiana 46544 Jack Benedict 1021 Canterbury South Bend, Indiana 46628 It was noted that a doctor's certificate was attached. It was noted that this was a renewal. It was noted that a doctor's certificate is attached. 311 Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the parking permits for the above named individuals were approved and referred to the Controller's Office for issuance, APPROVAL OF CETA SUBGRANT AGREEMENTS - HUMANE SOCIETY AND ART CENTER Mr. McMahon indicated that the modification for the Humane Society contract extended through November 29, 1979, with associated increases in wages. The total project was in the amount of $2,165. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, retroactive approval was granted. Mr. McMahon indicated that the contract with the Art Center was for a period from December 17, 1979, through September 30, 1980, in the amount of $6,700 to fund a secretary- receptionist position at the Art Center. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the contract was approved. FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE Mr. McMahon indicated that certificates of insurance for the following organizations had been received: South Bend Shrine Club - 126 West Marion Street Colip Electric Corporation - 115 South Hill Street Koontz - Wagner Electric and South Bend Controls, Inc. - 3801 Voorde Drive Morse Electric - 712 North Niles Avenue Arco Engineering Construction - 705 Beiger Street, Mishawaka Cole Associates - 2211 East Jefferson Boulevard Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the certificates of insurance were filed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT Mr. McMahon indicated that the report covered the period from December 16, 1979, through December 31, 1979. Mr. McMahon made a motion to file the reports, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried. He further explained that part of the contract written in 1968 or there- abouts included provisions for the reporting of street light outages. The reports are filed and originals forwarded to I & M. They then deduct from the monthly billing those street lights which are reported to be out until the lights have been repaired. He stated that the contract with I & M has been extended from year to year because there has been no specific action by the Board to renew it.
