SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 19, 1979 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Wednesday, December 19, 1979 by President Patrick <br />M. McMahon, with Mr. McMahon and Mr. Mullen present and Mr. <br />Brunner absent. Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also <br />present. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Mr. McMahon made a motion to add to the agenda the matter of <br />a house move permit. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it <br />carried. <br />APPROVAL FOR HOUSE MOVE RESCINDED <br />Mr. McMahon made a motion to rescind the approval of a house <br />move from 721 S. Olive to 1614 Knoblock, based on information <br />received that the house was moved without a permit and without <br />proper notification and insurance. Mr. Mullen seconded the <br />motion and it carried. The house mover, Allen Mitschelen, and <br />the owner, Robert Corthier, are to be advised of this action <br />and requested to meet with the Board to discuss this matter. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ATRIUM FOR FIRST BANK CENTER <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the Atrium for <br />the First Bank Center. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication <br />of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and <br />publicly read: <br />Interstate Glass Company <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Curtainwall . <br />Bid Item #117 - $938,732.00 <br />Steel Fabricating Division <br />of Midland Corporation <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />Structural Steel <br />Bid Item #115 - $599,600.00 <br />L & M Contract Interiors <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Quarry Tile <br />Bid Item #118- $162,210.00 <br />Art Mosaic and Tile Co. <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Quarry Tile <br />Bid Item #118 - $141,813.00 <br />Interior Finishes, Inc. <br />Osceola, Indiana <br />Quarry Tile <br />Bid Item #118 - $137,660.00 <br />Bid was signed by Phillip A. Traub, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by R. E. Zawlocki, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in order <br />and a 5% bid bond was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by L. E.
