• 0 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 17. 1979 <br />FILING OF AUDIT REPORT - COUNTY -CITY BUILDING <br />An Audit Report of the County -City Building for the period <br />January 1, 1976 through December 31, 1977, was submitted to the <br />Board the the State Board of Accounts. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was <br />ordered filed and made available for public inspection. <br />APPROVAL OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT - 210 N. BROOKFIELD <br />A Purchase Agreement for the sale of a city -owned lot at 210 N. <br />Brookfield Street was prepared by Deputy City Attorney Terry Crone <br />and submitted to the prospective purchaser, G & N Warehouse and <br />Packaging. Total cost of the purchase is $529.00. The purchase <br />agreement has been signed by the purchaser and is now submitted <br />to the Board for approval. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, <br />seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the purchase agreement was <br />approved and referred to the Legal Department for preparation of <br />the deed and final closing. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS�APPROVED <br />The Board received the following applications for handicapped <br />parking permits: <br />Virginia M. Wells, 52595 Fir Road, Granger, Indiana <br />Lucien Franckowiak, 1255 E. Fairington Circle, South Bend <br />George Kruszewski, 2413 Prairie Avenue, South Bend <br />Theodore A. Reiter, 2210 S. Catalpa, South Bend <br />Celestia F. Tunis, 59255 Hollywood Blvd., South Bend <br />Doctor's statements were attached to the applications. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance of the permit. <br />COMPLAINT AND REPORT - curb at 3421 W. SA14PLE <br />The Board received a complaint from Councilman Walter Kopczynski <br />regarding curb damage which occurred at 3421 W. Sample Street <br />caused by Street Department vehicles. Mr. McMahon reported that <br />the complaint was investigated and the Street Department has been <br />requested to make repairs as soon as the weather permits. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the letter and report were ordered filed. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended the following traffic control installations: <br />A. Install No Parking This Side, East side of St. Louis Boulevard <br />from Cedar Street south to the Emergency Entrance at St. <br />Joseph Hospital. <br />B. Install No Parking, Standing or Stopping, 800 E, Madison Street, <br />north side of street, the area between the Circle Main Drive <br />Entrance to St. Joseph Hospital. <br />Both installations were requested by the hospital. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunnerand carried, the recommendations <br />were approved. <br />
