r_4X i <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 17, 1979 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 1979 by President Patrick M. <br />McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr. Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />Mr. McMahon reported that the minutes of the December 10 meeting had <br />been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved <br />as submitted. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Per. McMahon noted receipt of a notice from the State Highway <br />Commission and a request from REAL Services, Inc. after the posting <br />of the meeting agenda and he made a motion that the items be added <br />to the agenda at this time. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and <br />it carried. <br />OPENING OF BIDS MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION - FIRE STATION NO. 11 <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the mechanical <br />construction of Fire Station No. 11. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News which were found to be sufficient. White, Inc. <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid - $66,190.00 <br />Bid was signed by Thomas J. <br />Hermann, non - collusion affidavit <br />was in order and a 5% bid bond <br />was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Mark Gallagher, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Ervin Swift, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Louis W. <br />Krueper, non - collusion affidavit <br />was in order and a 5% bid bond <br />was submitted. <br />Bid was signed by Paul J. White, <br />non - collusion affidavit was in <br />order and a 5% bid bond was <br />submitted. <br />Mr. McMahon noted that James Childs, Architect for the project, was <br />present and would review the bids immediately and make a recommendation <br />for award before adjournment. <br />`1 <br />
