i HE REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 26, 1979 SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - WASHINGTON STREET LIGHTING The title sheet approving the plans for the Washington Street Lighting, from Chapin Street to William Street, was submitted to the Board by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. The project is presently out for bids. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Mullen and carried, the Board signed the title sheet approving the plans. APPROVAL OF ADVERTISING, SIGNALIZATION-OF MC KINLEY- MANCHESTER INTERSECTION Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, requested that the Board approve advertising for bids for the signalization of the McKinley - Manchester intersection. Mr. McMahon noted that the City has been negotiating with the state Highway Commission for over a year and has submitted a number of plans for these signals. The City has received no response from the state regarding the project. Bid advertising is being requested and the City will.notify the State that this action was taken and request their concurrence. The project is to be funded from the Local Roads and Streets Fund. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the request to advertise for bids. HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED Darlyne L. Hunter submitted an application for a Handicapped Parking Permit, along with a doctor's statement of disability. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of the permit. CLAIMS APPROVED Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 22521 through 28101 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, "seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 22521 through 28101 and directed that checks for payment be issued. TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, submitted to the Board the following recommendations for traffic control: A. No Parking 6 AM to 9 AM, revised to No Parking, east side of Miami, from alley adjacent to 1132 Miami north approximately 150 feet, to provide additional approach area to the intersection of Lincolnway East. B. Install No Parking. West Side of Miami, from Pennsylvania to 30' north of Brook Court and East Side of Miami from 40' south of Raymond Court to 30' North of Brook Court, to prohibit parking in area of reduced roadway width and to provide site distance. G. Remove No Parking 3 PM to 6PM on West Side of Miami from Brook Court north to north property line of 1221 Miami, as need is eliminated. D. No Parking Within Fifteen Feet of Roadway, North Side of Prairie from Olive to Ewing, to provide site distance. E. No Parking This Side, West Side of Walnut from Prairie south to Catalpa, to provide site distance.
