i <br />HE <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 26, 1979 <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - WASHINGTON STREET LIGHTING <br />The title sheet approving the plans for the Washington Street <br />Lighting, from Chapin Street to William Street, was submitted <br />to the Board by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. The <br />project is presently out for bids. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr, Mullen and carried, the Board signed <br />the title sheet approving the plans. <br />APPROVAL OF ADVERTISING, SIGNALIZATION-OF MC KINLEY- MANCHESTER <br />INTERSECTION <br />Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting, requested that the Board approve advertising for <br />bids for the signalization of the McKinley - Manchester intersection. <br />Mr. McMahon noted that the City has been negotiating with the <br />state Highway Commission for over a year and has submitted a number <br />of plans for these signals. The City has received no response <br />from the state regarding the project. Bid advertising is being <br />requested and the City will.notify the State that this action was <br />taken and request their concurrence. The project is to be funded <br />from the Local Roads and Streets Fund. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved <br />the request to advertise for bids. <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED <br />Darlyne L. Hunter submitted an application for a Handicapped <br />Parking Permit, along with a doctor's statement of disability. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's Office for issuance of the permit. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 22521 through 28101 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, "seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 22521 through <br />28101 and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES APPROVED <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />submitted to the Board the following recommendations for traffic <br />control: <br />A. No Parking 6 AM to 9 AM, revised to No Parking, east side <br />of Miami, from alley adjacent to 1132 Miami north approximately <br />150 feet, to provide additional approach area to the intersection <br />of Lincolnway East. <br />B. Install No Parking. West Side of Miami, from Pennsylvania <br />to 30' north of Brook Court and East Side of Miami from 40' <br />south of Raymond Court to 30' North of Brook Court, to prohibit <br />parking in area of reduced roadway width and to provide site <br />distance. <br />G. Remove No Parking 3 PM to 6PM on West Side of Miami from <br />Brook Court north to north property line of 1221 Miami, as <br />need is eliminated. <br />D. No Parking Within Fifteen Feet of Roadway, North Side of Prairie <br />from Olive to Ewing, to provide site distance. <br />E. No Parking This Side, West Side of Walnut from Prairie south <br />to Catalpa, to provide site distance. <br />
