202 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 1979 <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT APPROVED <br />Mary Alferio, 1934 Bridgeview, submitted an application for <br />a Handicapped Parking Permit. Attached was a doctor's statement <br />verifying the disability of the applicant. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the application was <br />approved and referred to the Controller's Office for issuance of <br />the permit. <br />BONDS RELEASED - CAMP HEATING COMPANY <br />Ray S. Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported that he had <br />reviewed the request of the surety company to release the Contractor's <br />and Excavation Bond of Virgil Camp,d /b /a Camp Heating Company. <br />There are no outstanding permits or claims against this contractor <br />and Mr.Andrysiak recommended release. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board released <br />the bonds effective September 24, 1979. <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FILED - MURDOCK & SONS CONSTRUCTI <br />A Certificate of Insurance written on behalf of Murdock & Sons <br />Construction was submitted to the Board in proper form. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the certificate was ordered filed. <br />CLAIMS APPROVED <br />Chief Deputy Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 19625 through 19074 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 19625 through 19074 <br />and directed that checks for,.payment be issued, <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period September 11 to <br />September 16 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated <br />nineteen outages. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by <br />Mr. Brunner and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />POLICE AUCTION OF BICYCLES AND PROPERTY APPROVED <br />Deputy City Attorney Terry A. Crone advised the Board that he had <br />reviewed the request of the Police Department to auction items held <br />less than the required six months because of a severe space problem. <br />Mr. Crone noted that the statute is very specific and provides that <br />items can only be sold held less than six months time if they are <br />perishable, will deteriorate or if the City will incur additional <br />expense in extended holding of the property. Therefore, he <br />recommended that the Police Department sell only those items which <br />have been held for a period of six months. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved <br />the request to advertise for the sale of bicycles and unclaimed <br />property by the Police Department on October 13, 1979, with the <br />provision that only items which have been held for the required <br />six months be sold. <br />
