201 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 1979 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Brunner reported that the minutes of the September 17 meeting <br />had been reviewed and he made a motion that they be approved as <br />submitted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. <br />REQUEST FOR JOHN ADAMS HOMECOMING PARADE RECEIVED <br />John Adams High School submitted a request to hold their Annual <br />Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 19, 1979 at 3:45 p.m. The <br />Parade is to begin on 30th Street and follow the route submitted <br />to the School Parking Lot. Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was filed and <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and <br />recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT RECOMMENDATION APPROVED <br />Joseph J. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting,.submitted the following recommendation: <br />Remove: <br />Orange Street, Meade to Birdsell (12 lights) <br />Colfax Avenue, Birdsell to LaPorte (10 lights) <br />McKinley, Ironwood to Logan (14 Lights) <br />Chapin, Sample to White Farm Ent. (14 lights) <br />Decrease <br />Install: <br />Orange Street, Meade to Birdsell (18 lights) <br />Colfax Avenue, Birdsell to LaPorte (12 lights) <br />McKinley, Ironwood to Logan Street (75 lights) <br />Chapin, Sample to White Farm Ent. Pluta, Assistant Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended installation of the following traffic <br />control devices: <br />1. Install Stop Signs on Randolph at Ironwood, an uncontrolled <br />tee intersection. <br />2. Install No Parking, Yellow Curb on west side of Eclipse Place, <br />from existing yellow curb to a point 100' south, in front of <br />1103 and 1109 Eclipse Place, requested by homeowners. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, <br />the recommendations were approved. <br />
