<br />PETITION FOR ANNEXATION APPROVED

<br />Robert M. Parker, Chief Deputy City Attorney, advised the Board
<br />that the City is owner of a small tract of land in the proposed
<br />Northwest Annexation and will petition to have this land included
<br />in the annexation to be submitted to the Common Council. A
<br />petition and resolution were submitted to the Board for consideration.
<br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and
<br />carried, the following petition and resolution were adopted:
<br />PETITION TO HAVE CERTAIN TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
<br />The City efSouth Bend, acting by and through its Board of Public
<br />Works and being the owner of certain territory located in Section 33,
<br />Township 38 North, Range 2 East, in German Township, St. Joseph
<br />County, Indiana, as shown on the map attached hereto, made a part
<br />hereof and marked Exhibit A and described in the records of the
<br />Auditor of St. Joseph County as key number 25 -1010 -0373, hereby
<br />consents to and petitions for the annexation by the Common Council
<br />of the City of South Bend to said City of all of said territory
<br />owned by the City and presently lying outside of the present
<br />boundaries of the City of South Bend,

<br />RESOLUTION NO. 18, 1979
<br />WHEREAS, certain property owners of territory located in Sections
<br />18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33, Township 38 North
<br />Range 2 East, in German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana, are
<br />petitioning the Common Council of the City of South Bend, for
<br />annexation of territory owned by them in said sections, and falling
<br />within the description of the proposed annexation attached hereto,
<br />made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend owns certain territory located in
<br />Section 33, which is within the territory proposed to be annexed
<br />and the City desires to be a petitioner for such annexation and to
<br />cause such territory owned by it to be annexed to and become a part
<br />of the City of South Bend.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />SECTION 1. That the petition for annexation
<br />territory owned by the City and lying outsid
<br />of the City of South Bend, located in Section
<br />Range 2 East, in German Township, St. Joseph
<br />hereby approved and ordered executed for and
<br />of South Bend, Indiana.
