r� <br />a <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 21, 1979 <br />HOPE CHAPEL CHURCH PARADE APPROVED <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reviewed the request of the <br />Hope Chapel Church of God to hold a Bible School Parade on <br />Saturday, June 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The route as submitted. <br />was acceptable and Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval. Upon <br />motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the request was approved,.subjec.t to the filing of a <br />Certificate of Insurance. <br />PARKING REMOVED, WEST SIDE OF 2100 -2200 SOUTH WALNUT STREET <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reviewed the petition of <br />residents of the 2100 and 2200 block South Walnut Street to <br />remove parking from one side of the street to eliminate congestion <br />and to allow access to emergency vehicles. Mr. Wadzinski reported <br />he found no objection to the request and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board approved the request and parking will be <br />banned from the west side of 2100 and 2200 South Walnut. <br />APPROVAL OF LIMITED PARKING, 100 N. MAIN STREET <br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />advised the Board that a request was received from Edward Hardig, <br />on behalf of Instant Copy of Indiana,, 129 North Main Street, <br />for changing the two hour parking zone in the 100 block North <br />Main Street to ten minute ,,parking. in order to provide turnover <br />of parking for businesses in -;the block;: Mr, Wadzinski reported <br />that a field investigation was made and he was recommending that <br />the two northernmost parking spaces on the West side of 100 North <br />Main Street be designated as fifteen- minute parking.from 6 AM to <br />6 PM, with the remaining spaces in the one -half block to remain <br />at the one -hour limit. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded <br />by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommend - action lwasi. ,approved. - - "-. <br />RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUEST TABLED <br />Michele D-obski submitted a request to the Board concerning removal <br />of parking in the Supergraphic blocks on the Plaza and the use <br />of a city -owned lot on the corner of Michigan and Washington <br />on June 9. Upon motion made.by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the request was tabled pending receipt of additional <br />information regarding the request. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 9395 to 9725 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 9395 to 9725 <br />and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period May 9 to May 16 <br />was submitted to the Board. The report indicated thirty -two <br />outages. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen <br />and carried, the report was ordered filed. <br />si <br />
