r� a REGULAR MEETING MAY 21, 1979 HOPE CHAPEL CHURCH PARADE APPROVED The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reviewed the request of the Hope Chapel Church of God to hold a Bible School Parade on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The route as submitted. was acceptable and Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the request was approved,.subjec.t to the filing of a Certificate of Insurance. PARKING REMOVED, WEST SIDE OF 2100 -2200 SOUTH WALNUT STREET The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting reviewed the petition of residents of the 2100 and 2200 block South Walnut Street to remove parking from one side of the street to eliminate congestion and to allow access to emergency vehicles. Mr. Wadzinski reported he found no objection to the request and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the Board approved the request and parking will be banned from the west side of 2100 and 2200 South Walnut. APPROVAL OF LIMITED PARKING, 100 N. MAIN STREET Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, advised the Board that a request was received from Edward Hardig, on behalf of Instant Copy of Indiana,, 129 North Main Street, for changing the two hour parking zone in the 100 block North Main Street to ten minute ,,parking. in order to provide turnover of parking for businesses in -;the block;: Mr, Wadzinski reported that a field investigation was made and he was recommending that the two northernmost parking spaces on the West side of 100 North Main Street be designated as fifteen- minute parking.from 6 AM to 6 PM, with the remaining spaces in the one -half block to remain at the one -hour limit. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the recommend - action lwasi. ,approved. - - "-. RIVER BEND PLAZA REQUEST TABLED Michele D-obski submitted a request to the Board concerning removal of parking in the Supergraphic blocks on the Plaza and the use of a city -owned lot on the corner of Michigan and Washington on June 9. Upon motion made.by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the request was tabled pending receipt of additional information regarding the request. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board Claim Docket Numbers 9395 to 9725 and recommended approval. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 9395 to 9725 and directed that checks for payment be issued. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED The Street Light Outage Report for the period May 9 to May 16 was submitted to the Board. The report indicated thirty -two outages. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the report was ordered filed. si
