REGULAR MEETING <br />OPEN AIR STANDS APPROVED <br />APRIL 23. 1979 <br />The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and Police Department reviewed <br />applications for Open Air Stands at 2130 South Bend Avenue and <br />111 E. Ireland Road for the sale of art works. Both locations <br />are on private property and property owners submitted written <br />permission for operation of the stands. Ralph J. Wadzinski, <br />Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, reported that <br />ther e was no objection to the operation of the stands, subject <br />to the following provisions: <br />1. All objects to be displayed on private property. <br />2. No advertising signs, flashing or non - flashing boards, etc. <br />are to be posted on public right -of -way. <br />3. No flashing signs to be used to distract motorists. <br />4. All customer parking to be on private property. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board approved the open air stands subject to <br />the recommendation of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and to <br />the securing of the necessary city vending licenses. Licenses <br />are to be issued for one month with requests for renewal to <br />be considered. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia DeC ercq, C er <br />35 <br />
