16 <br />REGULAR 14EETING APRIL 2, 1979 <br />PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT APPROVED - M.S.F. FENCE <br />John E. Leszczynski, Manager of the Bureau of Public Construction, <br />submitted to the Board the Project Completion Affidavit for the <br />construction of the fence at the Municipal Services Facility. <br />The contractor was Morse Electric Company and total cost of <br />the project was $19,829.86. The maintenance agreement for the <br />project extends to April 2, 1980. Upon motion made by Mr. <br />McMahon, se,ar.i ed by Mr, Mullen and carried, the Board approved <br />the Completion Affidavit. <br />REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED LOTS FILED <br />The following requests to purchase city -owned lots were filed <br />with the Board: <br />John D. Sisson - 1320 W. Jefferson Street <br />Joyce Hoff and Joseph Shula - 329 and 331 Cushing Street <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and <br />carried, the Board referred the requests to the Mayor's Office, <br />Community Development Department, Park Department and Engineering <br />Department for review and a determination as to whether the lots <br />should be retained for any purpose. <br />ATTENDANCE AT BUILDING CONFERENCE APPROVED <br />James D. Markle, Building Commissioner, requested that the Board <br />approve attendance at the Spring Conference of the Indiana <br />Association of Building Officials in'Nashville, Indiana on <br />April 3, 4, 5 and 6, 1979. Attending with Mr. Markle will be <br />David Niezgodski, Merle Carlton and Bert Ellis. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the <br />request was approved. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEETS - PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS <br />The title sheets approving the plans for various public works <br />projects were submitted to the Board. Projects involved are <br />the Ironwood and Pleasant Intersection Improvements, Indiana <br />Avenue and Chapin Street Improvements and the Chapin, Jefferson, <br />Portage and York Road Intersection Improvements. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />title sheets were approved. <br />CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE FILED <br />Certificates of Insurance were submitted to the Board by the <br />Mental Health Center, for DeLos House at 420 N. Frances, and <br />by the Chamber of Commerce for the canopy in front of their <br />building and for the Annual Holiday Parade. Upon motion made <br />by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the <br />certificates were ordered filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Deputy City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted to the Board <br />Claim Docket Numbers 6063 through 6490 and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and <br />carried, the Board approved Claim Docket Numbers 6063 through 6490 <br />and directed that checks for payment be issued. <br />
