12 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 2, 1979 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m, on Monday, April 2, 1979 by President Patrick M. McMahon, <br />with Mr. McMahon, Mr, Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City <br />Attorney Terry Crone was also present. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS APPROVED <br />Mr. McMahon noted that the minutes of the March 19 meeting had been <br />reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved as <br />submitted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Mr. McMahon also reported that the minutes of the March 26 meeting <br />had been reviewed and he made a motion that those minutes be <br />approved as submitted. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it <br />carried. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Mr. McMahon advised the Board that a public hearing on the Assessment <br />Roll for Vacation Resolution No.3466 was set for today and properly <br />advertised. However, the item was inadvertently omitted from the <br />agenda. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner <br />and carried, the item was added. <br />REQUEST FOR BICYCLE AND UNCLAIMED PROPERTY SALE APPROVED <br />Police Chief Michael Borkowski requested permission to dispose <br />of unclaimed bicycles and unclaimed property at a public auction to <br />be held on Saturday, April 28, 1979 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the <br />rear of the Police Station, 701 W. Sample Street. Upon motion <br />made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. P!Iul.len and carried, the Board <br />approved the sale and directed the'Clerk to prepare the legal <br />advertisements. <br />VEHICLE ACQUISITION AND ASSIGNMENT OF NUMBERS APPROVED <br />Police Chief Michael Borkowski sent notification to the Board <br />of the acquisition of a vehicle and the re-assignment-of city vehicle <br />numbers as follows: <br />Acquisition of 1972 Chevrolet Impala to be assigned Vehicle No. 737 <br />Vehicle #640, 1977 Pontiac, to be changed to Vehicle #712 <br />Vehicle #643, 1977 Pontiac, to be changed to Vehicle #713 <br />Vehicle #653 assigned to Weights and Measures Department and <br />assigned Vehicle #437 <br />Vehicle #668 assigned to the Parking Garages and assigned <br />Vehicle #555. <br />Vehicle #651 was scrapped with the approval of the Board of Public <br />Works and the title may be returned to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. <br />Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, <br />the Board approved the assignment of vehicle numbers as listed. <br />JOHN BRINSON CASE REFERRED TO MAYOR'S OFFICE <br />The Board acknowledged receipt of a letter from Timothy McLaughlin, <br />Attorney representing John Brinson, whose application for renewal <br />of a pool hall license was denied. Mr. McLaughlin asked whether <br />the matter would be referred to the Mayor. Upon motion made by <br />Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Brunner and carried, the ..letter was <br />filed and the John Brinson license denial matter was referred to <br />Mayor Nemeth, pursuant to the Municipal Code Section 4 -28 (e), <br />for notice and a hearing. <br />y <br />
