12 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 2, 1979 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m, on Monday, April 2, 1979 by President Patrick M. McMahon, with Mr. McMahon, Mr, Brunner and Mr. Mullen present. Deputy City Attorney Terry Crone was also present. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS APPROVED Mr. McMahon noted that the minutes of the March 19 meeting had been reviewed and he made a motion that the minutes be approved as submitted. Mr. Mullen seconded the motion and it carried. Mr. McMahon also reported that the minutes of the March 26 meeting had been reviewed and he made a motion that those minutes be approved as submitted. Mr. Brunner seconded the motion and it carried. AGENDA ITEM ADDED Mr. McMahon advised the Board that a public hearing on the Assessment Roll for Vacation Resolution No.3466 was set for today and properly advertised. However, the item was inadvertently omitted from the agenda. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried, the item was added. REQUEST FOR BICYCLE AND UNCLAIMED PROPERTY SALE APPROVED Police Chief Michael Borkowski requested permission to dispose of unclaimed bicycles and unclaimed property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, April 28, 1979 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the rear of the Police Station, 701 W. Sample Street. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr. P!Iul.len and carried, the Board approved the sale and directed the'Clerk to prepare the legal advertisements. VEHICLE ACQUISITION AND ASSIGNMENT OF NUMBERS APPROVED Police Chief Michael Borkowski sent notification to the Board of the acquisition of a vehicle and the re-assignment-of city vehicle numbers as follows: Acquisition of 1972 Chevrolet Impala to be assigned Vehicle No. 737 Vehicle #640, 1977 Pontiac, to be changed to Vehicle #712 Vehicle #643, 1977 Pontiac, to be changed to Vehicle #713 Vehicle #653 assigned to Weights and Measures Department and assigned Vehicle #437 Vehicle #668 assigned to the Parking Garages and assigned Vehicle #555. Vehicle #651 was scrapped with the approval of the Board of Public Works and the title may be returned to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Upon motion made by Mr, McMahon, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved the assignment of vehicle numbers as listed. JOHN BRINSON CASE REFERRED TO MAYOR'S OFFICE The Board acknowledged receipt of a letter from Timothy McLaughlin, Attorney representing John Brinson, whose application for renewal of a pool hall license was denied. Mr. McLaughlin asked whether the matter would be referred to the Mayor. Upon motion made by Mr. McMahon, seconded by Mr, Brunner and carried, the ..letter was filed and the John Brinson license denial matter was referred to Mayor Nemeth, pursuant to the Municipal Code Section 4 -28 (e), for notice and a hearing. y
