Per- <br />mission granted. <br />The monthly report of the Police Department for!the month of June was submitted <br />to the Board. Accepted and placed on file. <br />Special Police Officer bonds were approved for Harry A. Markiewicz, R. R. #31 <br />Box 522, Walkerton, Indiana; and Paul Ryll, 2710 Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />An application for the Fire Department was examined and placed on file for Anthony <br />Horvath. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />Ira Hunsberger, Supt. of the Electrical Department, submitted to the Board a <br />list of the street lights which have been ordered since January 1, 1956. Accepted and <br />placed on file. <br />Ira Hunsberger recommends the following changes in line with the Mayor's uniform <br />lighting program; 4000 lumen light at the following locations, Iowa & Ardmore Trail; <br />Olive & Smith Streets; Cherry Tree Lane & Coquillard Drive. 1522 Sheridan Avenue; <br />and between 623 and 625 North Walnut St. <br />Also, the following locations should be increased; two lights on Cherry St from <br />the railroad to Washington Street; two lights on Chestnut Street from the Railroad to <br />Washington Street; Harvey Street near Lincoln Way West; Grace Street and Railroad <br />tracks; Avondale at Ridgedale Road; two lights on Twyckenham Drive and Avondale; two <br />lights on Twyckenham Drive between Avondale and Ridgedale Road; and the two lights on <br />Ridgedale Road near Avondale . Also, remove one 1000 lumen light on Walnut Street near <br />railroad and :increase the present 4000 lumen light to 6000 lumen, this light is at the <br />railroad crossing. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourn - <br />ed at 10:30 A.M.
