?OLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board and matters pertaining to <br />s department were discussed. <br />Chief Dutrieux submitted to the Board a proposed sick leave schedule <br />or the Police Department which reads as follows: <br />L. Employees of Fire and Police Department shall be granted up to thirty <br />(30) days Annual sick leave from January 1 to December 31 of each calen- <br />iar year upon the discretion of Chief of said Department. However, this.. <br />shall not apply to Employees who hove suffered such illness or injure <br />Nhile in performance of duty on said Department. <br />2. All Employees of the Fire and Police Department shall notify their Sup- <br />erior Officer of any illness within eight (8) hours of time of illness. <br />Except in cases of emergency, notice shall be given to the Employee's Sup- <br />erior Officer of request to admittance to any hospital and further notice <br />of acceptance to said hospital. <br />Every Employee shall deliver to his Superior Officer proof of his ill- <br />ness, said proof being a medical report from his Physician. The Chief of <br />the Department of the specific Employee shall determine whether or not Bich <br />leave shall be allowed based upon said report.% e r r! >,_9 <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />Ira Hunsberger, recommends that a 6000 lumen light be installed in the <br />800 block of Portage Avenue. Board approves Mr. Hunsbergerts recommen- <br />ation. <br />Ira Hunsberger recommends that a 4000 lumen light be installed in the <br />200 block of Bruce Street at the intersection of Bruce and Webster St. <br />oard approves Mr. Hunsberger}s recommendation. <br />Special Police Officer bonds were approved for Joseph J. Horvath and <br />1phonse Zack. <br />Applications of the Auxiliary Police were examined and ordered filed <br />or Joan Patricia Taylor. <br />Applications for the Police Department were examined and ordered filed <br />or Eugene Walentine Sikorski. <br />Applications for the Fire Department were examined and ordered filed <br />or Aaron Brown, John Stephen Fezy, Norbert Joseph Hechlinski, Ernest <br />ugene Stachowski, and Richard C. Szweda. <br />There being no further business to come before he Board, the meet - <br />Lng was adjourned at 10 :45 A.M.
